Onward and onward

Like the proverbial duck that looks calm on the surface but is paddling like hell underneath, Loveless construction is moving right along.
Days after the weeHouse arrived, the local utility company plopped a giant propane gas tank in back. The construction crew hung a temporary furnace to the rafters inside the walkout basement and fired up the heat so they could thaw out the ground and keep working. (So THIS is how work gets done in wintertime…)

They say I can move the tank when the ground thaws in the spring.

At this point, the concrete floors have been poured and the walls have been framed. I’ve met with the heating contractor to talk about ductwork, and the electrician is working on a plan to get the new construction wired.
We’re working through a mix-up on the patio doors in the front, but new doors are on order. I also decided to put a bigger sink into the kitchen to replace this tiny bar sink that came with the wee, so we put the plumber off for a few days.
Doors, unfortunately, are wrong style and wrong size.

I didn't notice the weeSink when the weeHouse was in pieces. It's not too late to fix.

Despite the delays, we’re definitely on the home stretch. Jesse “The Builder” and his crew are only putting in the shell. Pretty soon Sweat Equity: Phase II will kick in.
We’ll probably do a little hangin’ and ice fishin’ first, though.

View out to the future deck from the weeLounge.
